Live photos on Instagram refer to a feature that allows users to share photos that have been captured using the "Live Photo" mode on their iPhone. When a Live Photo is posted on Instagram, it appears as a still image, but when users press and hold the photo, it comes to life and plays a short video clip of the moments before and after the photo was taken.
