Here's how to mute accounts on Twitter

The Mute feature of Twitter allows users to remove an account's Tweets from their timeline without unfollowing or blocking the account. Accounts that have been muted will not be informed of the action, and you can unmute them whenever you choose. To view a catalog of accounts that you have muted, navigate to your muted accounts settings on twitter.com or the app settings on Twitter for iOS or Android.
