Google's troubles mount as EU joins US' breakup call

The European Union (EU) has joined US antitrust regulators in calling for a breakup of Google's advertising business. Both governments believe that Google's dominance in advertising technology must end. The EU’s competition chief has accused Google of favoring its own services, and a divestment is needed because a behavioral remedy wouldn’t stop Google from “self-preferencing”.
