Reddit has pledged to enhance accessibility features for moderators who use assistive technology to moderate via Reddit's iOS and Android apps. Many moderators primarily depend on third-party apps for assistive tech because they find Reddit's apps difficult for moderation purposes, but the platform aims to improve features like the moderation queue and the ModMail messaging system on the apps. The company has also made exemptions for certain non-commercial apps, prioritizing accessibility features, to continue running without being charged API fees. CEO Steve Huffman pledged an open and accessible place for people to find community.
