Boeing posted a $257m loss for its NASA Starliner space program, taking the total of losses to around $1.5bn following the indefinite delay of the programme's first crewed launch. Boeing's competitor in space travel, SpaceX, is due to finish all of its contracted missions before Boeing deploys its first. As well as Starliner, the US multinational also reported losses in other business areas such as defence, space and security units, including $189m on the T-7A trainer jet program and $68m on the MQ-25 unit.
