Airtel brings Dolby Atmos support to the Wynk app

Indian telecom company Airtel has added Dolby Atmos support to its music streaming app, Wynk Music. Users can access songs from eight languages through the app, with titles from Yash Raj Films, Saregama and Phonographic Digital Limited among those included. No extra costs will be incurred to access Wynk's Dolby Atmos music catalogue and playlists. A compatible Dolby Atmos-enabled mobile device is required to enjoy the feature. Airtel recently reported a 14% jump in revenue during the June quarter, reaching Rs 37,440 crore ($5bn). The telecoms firm generated a net profit of Rs 1,612 crore.
