Apple is reportedly testing its highest-end M3 Max chip for the Macs alongside 48GB of RAM. The M3 Max has a CPU of 16 cores with up to 40 GPU cores, an improvement from its M2 Max counterpart. Bloomberg sources say that Apple's upcoming laptop, speculated to be the MacBook Pro, has the codename J514 and is being tested with the M3 Max chip. Additionally, the tech giant is also testing the M3-powered 13-inch MacBook Air and Mac mini. The M3 chips, slated for release in October with the MacBook Pro, iMac, and MacBook Air, feature 3-nanometer architecture for better efficiency.
