A Chinese man, Woo Uyanbe, has reportedly cheated 1,200 people out of approximately INR 1,400 crore through a football betting app. The perpetrator and his accomplices lured people between ages 15 and 75 with promises of wealth via the app. It was discovered that the man has a network in Hong Kong and Singapore and has deployed several similar apps to defraud people.
