How to enable the new Earthquake Alert System on Android devices

Google has launched a new Earthquake Alert System on Android devices to help people in earthquake-prone areas. The system will detect earthquakes globally and send alerts to Android users before the shaking begins. To enable the feature, users need an Android device running Android 5 or above and an internet connection. The system has two types of alerts: Be Aware alerts for light shaking and Take Action alerts for moderate to heavy shaking. The alerts respect users' volume and notification settings, and Take Action alerts will override Do Not Disturb settings.
