Your car may soon be able to pay for fuel, recharge FASTag; here’s how

Amazon and MasterCard-backed ToneTag have launched a new feature called 'pay by car' that integrates the Unified Payments Interface (UPI) system into a car's infotainment system. This allows users to make smartphone-free digital payments, initially showcased on the MG Hector. When a car drives up to a fuel station, the infotainment system displays the fuel dispenser number, and the user can enter the desired amount for their fuel purchase.
