Meta, the parent company of Facebook, has announced that it will prohibit political advertisers and campaigners in regulated industries from using its new generative AI advertising tools. The company believes that these tools could amplify the spread of election misinformation. Meta's decision comes shortly after it expanded access to AI-powered advertising tools.
