After Ford, GM adopts Tesla's EV charging system

General Motors has announced that it will adopt Tesla's North American charging plug standard for its electric vehicles (EVs), allowing GM users to utilise Tesla's Supercharger network. The adoption of Tesla's charging plug standard by GM is set to create a standard for charging hardware in the North American market as three of the top EV sellers adopt a singular system.
