Google introduced an in-built scanner for Pixel devices in Android 13. With this tool, Pixel users don’t have to download a separate app to scan QR codes. This tool is reportedly not working for some users. According to a report by 9to5Google, threads on Google’s support forums, as well as Reddit, notes that over the past week, some Pixel owners are unable to use the QR code scanner tile in Quick Settings. The report states that the issue seems to be affecting a few models, which primarily includes Pixel 5, Pixel 4a and Pixel 4a 5G units.
